“Thank you for all of your endeavours with regard to the refurbishment of the Redbrick containers. The area has been transformed and much for the better . The staff enjoyed the team effort and everyone should be proud of their work and contribution. All of this entirely due to your effort and energy”

“I love to take something old or obsolete and give it a new life, and at 53sqm this was probably my biggest project to date. The site of the containers as well as the units themselves were in a terrible state and the project has been something Ive been excited to do”. Emmeline North
The brightly coloured mural stretches across the face of a row of eight shipping containers located in the car park of Redbrick Mill Interior Design Store. As a former textile mill the design is inspired by the production of woven textiles and the architectural features of the area, celebrating the 100 year anniversary of the Bauhaus. The mural wraps and folds around the steel bolts and fastenings of the containers transforming the formerly dilapidated containers into a vibrant art installation to be enjoyed by visitors to the site.
Passionate about the movement towards a more circular economy, the mural was painted using reclaimed paints collected at the local recycling depot. On completion of the work, any remaining paint will be returned to the depot for the re-cycle to continue. Installation of the work began in February 2019 and kick started a huge clean up operation.
