DEWSBURY GIANT LETTERS
Celebrating Dewsbury’s Textile heritage the installation uses scrap metal and recycled plastic, woven, folded and threaded together with application of painted patterns including houndstooth, plaid, herringbone and stripes. Four of the letters were salvaged from a former Superdry sign, reconditioned and recoated into this bright contemporary artwork. The other letters were designed and built using mild steel plate sheeting and round bar, working with metalwork artist Mick Kirkby-Geddes.
Final colours applied using a combination of powder coating and spray paint.
